Meet Akhenaten, Nefertiti, Nobles and more
(The Pyramids & the Sphinx – Sakkara – The National Museum – Beni Hassan – Tell el Amarna – Tuna Al Gabal)
This is a special tour in honor of Akhenaten & Nefertiti whom they have managed to make a change in the lives of the Ancient Egyptians, he was a Revolutionary king that has changed Religion, Art, Capital of Egypt, also the way how the Pharaoh is depicted and was brave enough to face all challenges made by the High Priests of the Long worshipped Amon-Re. The tour will include his unique collection of Artifacts at Cairo Museum as well as the fabulous collection of his Son-in-Law, the boy-king Tutankhamun with the highlights of Cairo with fun entertainment then a two-day trip to his capital Akhet-Atun at Tell el Amarna, a 3 hour drive south of Cairo, seeing Royal and Noble Tombs, remain of temples and Palaces of the king and the queen, including Pharaonic tombs and ruins at Tuna El Gabal, Beni Hassan and Tel Amarna with unique wall carvings of wrestling, making wine, and cultivation with vivid colors.
If time permit, we also can visit one or two of the Sites that have been visited by the Holy Family ( Virgin Mary, the Infant Jesus and Joseph the carpenter) during their escape journey into Egypt when King Herod wanted to kill the baby Jesus.
Pick up from Cairo airport, with meet & assist by our representative. Then transfer you to your hotel. Overnight
Meet & Welcome at Cairo Airport by Our Company Representative, and drive to visit Old Cairo churches and the cave of the Holy Family and the hanging church and the Ben Ezra Jewish Synagogue, and the Mosque of Amr Ibn el As, a 7th Century Mosque.
Then we visit the fabulous Egyptian Museum, which is housing more than 100,000 antiquities, beginning with Pharaonic times, 5,000 years ago including the Gold Treasures of the Boy King Tut-ankh-Amon! Possible visit to the two Royal Mummy Rooms That houses Un-Wrapped Mummies for the most famous kings & Queens of Ancient Egypt, Including Lunch on a Floating restaurant on the Nile Overnight Cairo
*Evening trip: Visit to Al Moaez Street
A vibrant street with all the ancient mosques and houses as well as the shops and cafes. While observing locals and tourists who visit the street at Night to enjoy its charm and have a meal or a drink. We end our walk with the Old Market area of Khan El Khalili and you may like to have a drink at the famous café of Al Fishawy or snacks at Naguib Mahfouz Restaurant operated by the Oberoi Hotels.
Today we see one of the wonders of the world: the Great Pyramids of Giza & the Sphinx. As we marvel at the human imagination and energy they display, we will find it difficult to avoid being overwhelmed as these pyramids survived for 4,500 years, seeing dynasties come and go and surviving Egypt’s many foreign invaders and conquerors.
Then we have lunch at a local restaurant serves authentic Egyptian food.
Our final sites for the day are the ancient Step Pyramid of King Zoser (27th century BCE) and a noble tomb at Sakkara, the necropolis of pharaohs during the Old Kingdom. With a possibility of going inside the Pyramid of king Teti for free. Overnight Cairo
* Evening Excursion: Dinner Nile Cruise
It is a fabulous way to enjoy a night on the Nile while you are in Cairo. So, you are invited to dinner on the Nile Maxim cruising restaurant for two hours sailing trip on the Nile with Belly dancer, folklore show, Oriental music and dinner. All the time, you’ll be delighted in our Chef’s menu along with a selection of Egyptian favorites, made with the freshest ingredients, and prepared to make it a memorable dining experience. The main Meal Options (Sea bass fillet fish- Veal – Beef) with a wide selection of Salad Buffet of all oriental dishes.
Day 4: El Minya – Tuna El Gabal
At the morning you will be picked up by your private guide and driver from your hotel in Cairo or Giza to El Minya, about 4 hours. Arrive El-Minya and start to visit the city’s site, including the great plain where Akhenaton received his divine inspiration to build his city. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant in El Minya, then proceeds to Tuna El Gabal where you can see the tomb of Petosiris, Ibis catacombs and Isadora tomb (This tomb goes back to the 2nd century AD and belongs to Isadora the renown for her beauty in the city of Hermopolis). Overnight in El Minya.
Day 5: Beni Hassan – Tel El Amarna – Cairo
In the morning, your tour guide will escort you to Beni Hassan; where you can see the tomb of Bakhet III (Bakhet III was the Governor of the Oryx Nome), the tomb of Khnumhotep (Khnumhotep was a governor under Amenemhat III in the 12th dynasty) and the tomb of Khety (It belongs to a governor in the 11th dynasty). Lunch at a local restaurant, then proceeds to Tel El Amarna where you can see the northern tombs. Later, drive back to your hotel in Cairo.
Depart to continue another trip or Fly Home.
